Pre-marriage agreement — international couple
The situation
A Thai and British couple, both with property from before their relationship, wanted a pre-marriage agreement that would be understood by both Thai and British courts if it were ever needed. One party was also the beneficiary of a family-owned business in Chiang Rai.
The process
We drafted the Thai agreement and recommended specific parallel advice from a UK solicitor, with whom we coordinated on terminology to ensure consistency. The couple reviewed the draft separately over two weeks before a final joint session. Total duration: four and a half weeks.
The outcome
A Thai-language agreement with a certified English translation, structured to be readable alongside the UK solicitor's document. Both parties felt they understood what they had signed and why each clause was included. Fixed fee: ฿ 4,200.

Property division mediation — two Bangkok condominiums
The situation
A couple separating after eleven years of marriage had two condominiums registered in different names, shared savings, and a disagreement about one property's current market valuation. Both wanted to avoid Family Court proceedings.
The process
We prepared a household inventory including independent valuation guidance for both properties. Four mediation sessions were held over seven weeks, each with a written record distributed to both parties within one working day. The valuation disagreement was resolved in session three.
The outcome
A written settlement agreement, signed by both parties, dividing the assets in a manner both described as fair. No court proceedings required. The process ran to seven weeks from the first session to execution of the settlement. Fixed fee: ฿ 10,500.

Post-divorce financial review — changed income circumstances
The situation
Three years after a finalised divorce, one party had returned to work full-time after a period of reduced income, making one of the original settlement clauses — which had reflected that reduced income — no longer a fair reflection of the household positions.
The process
We produced a written assessment of both parties' current financial positions and compared them against the original settlement. One clause was identified as warranting revision. A short-form variation was drafted and shared with the other party, who agreed to the revised terms without requiring mediation.
The outcome
An executed variation to the original settlement, reflecting the changed circumstances. The full process — from first consultation to signed variation — took eighteen days. Fixed fee: ฿ 15,000.
